Mirage

In an effort to maintain historic integrity while pushing towards the future, the Mirage Hotel and Restaurant at 229 Arch Street explores the tension between two periods – the space aims to transport visitors through time into an imagined future.

The interior references retrofuturism through the use of shiny, glossy textures and curved, slick surfaces. Mixed metals and copper hues used throughout are a nod to the building’s original function as a tinnery. In a sleek, yet warm atmosphere, the space evokes a sense of fantasy, and allows visitors an opportunity to dream.
